Nigerian man jailed three months after his lavish wedding for rape in Aberdeen
A Nigerian man, Kufre Umoh, 36 who had a lavish wedding in Akwa Ibom state has been convicted of rape and intent to rape in Abeerden. He was handed a seven years jail term. 
Mr. Kufre Umoh who is an oil and gas engineer reportedly detained his a victim against her will in his flat at 6 Waterton Lawn, Stoneywood, Aberdeen, removed her clothes and raped her.
He was also convicted of the intent to rape a second woman in her flat. These offenses were committed on October 18, 2012, and October 30, 2016, respectively at flats in Aberdeen

Mr. Uwen's first victim was a first-year student whom he met by chance and invited her to his flat where he raped her.

At the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lord Arthurson told Uwem: “This was a course of violent and predatory sexual offending, notwithstanding the four years between the two offenses.”
His second victim was at her home. Uwem restrained her, removed her lower clothing with intent to rape her.
He stood with his head bowed as Lord Arthurson told him: “The consequences are truly catastrophic for you.”
Uwem, who has an MSc in pipe engineering, was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
