Sarah Jessica Parker has broken her silence on Cynthia Nixon's bid to be the Governor of New York.
The actress gave a clipped statement and stopped short of endorsing her Sex and the City pal after intense speculation as to why she took so long to speak out.
Nixon, 51, announced her debut in the world of politics with a two-minute video on her social media platforms March 19.
Now Parker, 53, has come forward to give her take on her former co-star's ambitions.
'Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls,' she told Page Six.
'I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid.'
