Asad Hussein, born in Dadaab camp Kenya , 22 years ago has been accepted into the prestigious Princeton Univerwity

His parents, from Luuq, a town in southwestern Somalia, had lived in the camp since fleeing Somalia’s civil war in 1991.

Years later, Asad travelled to the United States to live with his sister. In 2017, his parents also joined them.

Sharing the good news on Twitter, he credited his sister,  Maryan for this success.

"It was my sister Maryan who first let me dream and tended to my life as one would for a seedling" he said.
