Vanguard newspapers dissociates itself from Editorial board chairman of over 20 years who described Yorubas as sophisticated morons on Facebook

Vanguard newspapers has released a statement dissociating itself from comments made by the Chairman of its Editorial Board, Ochereome Nnanna who indirectly referred to the Yorubas as "Sophisticated Morons" on Facebook. 

Nnanna made the comment while responding to a post made about the award of a posthumous award and declaration of June 12th as democracy day as a mark of honor to late MKO Abiola. Nnanna mocked the Yorubas for celebrating this gesture by President Buhari. See the Facebook post, his comment and the statement from Vanguard below
