Nigerian-American born rapper, Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. better known by his stage name Maxo Kream, lost his cool during his recent performance and humiliated a female fan.

It was reported that the female fan threw an item on stage during his show, which angered him.

In a video which was captured at the show, the Texas rapper walked close to the female fan while he was onstage and confronted her. But the lady who was standing in the crowd apologized for the act.

Nigerian Senate Initiates 2 bills to fight drug abuse

The Nigerian Senate has developed two draft bills for legislation to tackle drug abuse as part of the outcome of the roundtable convened by the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, in December 2017 in Kano on the rising drug abuse in the country.  

The proposed bills are National Drug Control Bill and National Mental Health Bill. A statement by the Media Office of the President of the Senate said the Drug Control Bill seeks to clarify the mandate and strengthen the capacity of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to eradicate the illicit production, and trafficking of controlled substances.

Nigeria : 25-year-old man kills his uncle for advising him against drinking

25 year old Dodo Baraje pictured above, has been arrested by men of the Niger State Police Command for allegedly murdering his uncle, identified as Baraje during a heated argument over his excessive consumption of a local alcoholic drink known as ''Suck and Die'' at their home in Shirumbu village, Maraga Local Government Area of the state.

Dodo who lived with the deceased from infancy, had refused to heed the advise of his uncle to desist from taking the local alcoholic drink over fears that it might ruin his life.

On the day of the incident, his 50 year old uncle had attemped to stop him from going to take the local drink. Dodo got angry, went into the house, picked up his one singled-barrelled gun and shot his uncle dead.

In a piece published on his social media handle this morning, former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, said the elections that have been conducted in Nigeria from 1959 till date have all been rigged.

A father has been arrested for aggravated child abuse and neglect after he allegedly forced his 9-year-old daughter to sleep on a bathroom floor and drink toilet water.

According to police, Jesse Piatt, 37, from Tennessee, and his wife Trish Piatt starved their daughter and when they fed her, she ate on the bathroom floor. The child's plight was discovered in January after a teacher caught her trying to steal food. Upon questioning, the girl confessed to her living conditions at home.

Northern APC governors disagree with John Oyegun's tenure elongation

According to a report by Punch, there are strong indications that northern governors in the All Progressives Congress have withdrawn their support for the elongation of the tenure of the party’s National Working Committee and the party’s stakeholders are looking beyond the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, to lead the party.

The report states that key supporters of the party’s National Chairman, especially northern governors, had shelved their earlier decision to sink or sail with the chairman.  A highly-placed party leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media on the issue, said the President’s move during last Tuesday’s National Executive Council meeting was akin to a “checkmate in a game of chess.”

Oluwo of Iwo monarch speaks on his controversial ''Emir of Yorubaland’' title

The Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun state, Adbulrasheed Akanbi, has denied saying he wants to henceforth be addressed as the ''Emir of Yorubaland''.

In a statement released by his media aide, Ali Ibrahim, the monarch said he did not adopt the title of “Emir of Yorubaland” but that he only told the ''Hausas and ardent Muslims” in his community to also address him as Emir and that he sees nothing in answering to the title of Emir whenever they chose to call him that.

A Nigerian lady survived a ghastly accident while travelling to her hometown for Easter and she shared the great news via Facebook.

Ifesinachi Agu was travelling on Saturday, March 31, when the car she was travelling in was involved in an accident along Ore road. She shared photos of the wrecked car and it's a miracle that no one was hurt in the accident. 

Nurse who said unarmed black man, Stephen Clark, deserved to be shot by police is fired from her job

A nurse who said an unarmed black man “deserved” to be shot by police has been fired from her hospital job following the insensitive remark.

Faith Linthicum, a Sacramento nurse at Kaiser Permanente's Roseville Medical Center, made the controversial remark on Facebook after father-of-two Stephen Clark was gunned down by police in his grandmother’s backyard on March 18 for holding a cell phone which they thought was a gun. In the Facebook comment, Faith said Clark “deserved it for being stupid."
