Former Niger state governor, Aliyu Babangida, threatens to sue FG for including him in looters list

Former Niger state governor, Aliyu Babangida, has threatened to file a lawsuit against the Federal government for including him in the supplementary looters list released by Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Sunday, April 1st.

In a statement released last night, Babangida says the APC is attacking him because he refused to join their party. He stated that no one has confronted him with any document to indicate that he received N1.6 billion from the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki as was alleged in the list of looters.

A man is on life support after he was shot in the head on Facebook Live by his female friend who was playing with a handgun.

Devyn Holmes, a 26-year-old father-of-two, was shot around 2.30am on Sunday in the parking lot of a Valero gas station in Houston. Cassandra Damper, the woman who shot him,  was immediately arrested and has since been charged.

A Facebook user, Larry Shola took the platform to share his encounter with a woman who brought her two kids and house-help to a restaurant.

According to him, the woman placed an order for rice and chicken for her kids while she gave the house help only biscuits. 

I went out with a friend to celebrate his birthday today and it was fun but something strange happened a woman came in with 3 kids for dinner and she orders for 2 plate of rice and chicken to my greatest surprise one of the kid was left out and was given biscuit to eat by the woman in the presence of the 2 kids while they were eating the rice the little kid was holding his/herself to eat the biscuit and it was such a painful thing to see honestly African women are mostly Evil how much will it cost you to give to someone who probably takes care of this little ones when you are not at home its so painful and annoying no wonder witchcraft will not end in Africa I'm really saddened honesty...

Wealthy Malawi Pastor, Prophet Bushiri being investigated for 'laundering millions'

South Africa-based Malawi pastor and founder of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, is being investigated for laundering millions to his home country. 

According to a South African paper, Sunday World, members of the church leadership claimed he was sending an estimated R15-million a month to Malawi, his country of birth.

It was alleged that the money were being transported out of South Africa in Bushiri's private jet and other vehicles.

According to Mail Online, the challenge has been around for several years but is reportedly making a comeback on the heels of the Tide Pod Challenge that made headlines earlier this year.

Man hacks his elder brother and sister-in-law to death in Ogun State Nigeria

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a young apprentice, Okwudili Okoro for the brutal murder of his elder brother and his wife.

It was gathered that the suspect murdered his brother, Azubuike Okoro and his wife, Jacinta, when the couple were having their meal on Saturday.

Okwudili and his accomplice barged into the home of the the victims in Ijako, pulled out two cutlasses hidden underneath their wears and hacked the victims to death.

They fled the scene after the attack but Okwudili was arrested after one Joseph Nwagu reported the matter at Sango Police Station.

Governor Fayose accuses President Buhari of rewarding looters who decamped from PDP

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose says President Buhari is presiding over the most corrupt government in Nigeria’s history. Fayose said this in a statement issued on Monday by Lere Olayinka, his special assistant on public communications and new media.  

He alleged that Buhari’s fight against corruption is selective as it “protects and rewards” looters who decamped from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said the first looters list released by the government was politically motivated while the second was an afterthought “to cover the shame” of the government because Nigerians questioned the first.

Dr. Mrs Ndukwu Chizaram, a new registrar in the pediatrics department at the Federal Medical centre (FMC), Umuahia, Abia state, took ill barely 1 month after she began working at FMC. She was initially treated at FMC, Umuahia, before being transferred to Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo, where she passed away.
