Presidency denies reports that Ministers have been banned from having direct access to President Buhari

The Presidency has denied recent media reports that the new Ministers have been banned from having direct access to President Buhari.

Recall that at the 2-day retreat for the Ministers designate, President Buhari informed them that all correspondents and scheduling of meetings must go through his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. This implied that all the Ministers must go through Kyari to fix appontments with President Buhari for them to see him.

Ubi Franklin took to Instagram to share the highlight of his encounter with someone he helped out in 2018, after being approached for money because the man's mother was sick. 

The music executive stated that he didn't know the man from anywhere and was also not satisfied with his answer on how he got his number at that time. He however went on to give him the money he asked for before getting a shocking encounter in 2019.

The Ghanaian actress in her interview on Cool FM, revealed that her childhood dream of becoming a superstar stopped her from marrying a US-based suitor at 18. According to her, the man stopped calling and helping out her family after she turned down his proposal. 

Juliet also disclosed that she talked about 4 rape incidents she was subjected to in her book and it all began when she was 8-years-old. According to the mother of one, she was sexually abused by her grand uncle. It continued with her cousins and then a friend.

Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Founder of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has given reasons for shunning the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) panel set up to probe the rape allegations leveled against him by Busola, Dakolo, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo.

In a statement released by his Senior Assistant, Ademola Adetuberu, Fatoyinbo said he failed to honour the panel’s invitations because his lawyers realised the sitting might be partial as the christian body before constituting the panel, had disowned him.

“We recall that when Pastor Fatoyinbo was invited by a phone call few days ago by Pastor Akinola Akinwale, who is the National Administrative Secretary of PFN, we explained that our Pastor would not honour the invitation due to legal advice hinged on the ongoing police investigation.

US firm shuts down in Nigeria, accuses staff of extortion

Dynamics Intelligence, a company operating from Redmond, United States has shut its operations in Nigeria over what its chairman alleged is extortions by its employees and contractors.    

Jenna Bourgeois, chairman of the company, made the announcement via his LinkedIn account and asked any company trying to do business in Nigeria to outsource to Indians.  

The company which engages in technology solutions, partners with Microsoft and Amazon to create custom cloud based productivity software. The software built upon the Microsoft Azure, PowerApps, PowerBI, Flow, and Dynamics 365 technologies are focused on healthcare, retail and government sectors.

Iweanoje takes over from Rahul Sharma, a public defender hired by a United States judge to stand as counsel to Okeke. The accused had failed to appear with a lawyer during his initial court appearance on August 9. Iweanoje indicated that he was stepping in to defend the Abuja-based businessman later the same day.
