Photos: Woman allegedly ordered execution of her rich husband after he filed for divorce

Police in the south of Thailand on Tuesday, March 27, announced the arrest of five people in the murder of Krabi municipal engineer Montree Upla or "Tik", 57, in February.

Montree was shot dead on the Thung Yai to Lamthap road in Nakorn Sri Thammarat on February 21st. He was on his way to see his 'minor wife' ( kinda like a second wife or mistress known by everyone.  It's a practice among wealthy Thai men ) with whom he had two children aged 1 and 3. She is a hairdresser in the local market.

Montree was shot multiple times with several guns and was found dead at the scene.

Acting on warrants police arrested his wife Nichaphat Aolakneua, 54, a resident of Ao Lak and four others. One man remains at large.

Police say that the wife ordered the killing after the husband filed for divorce. He has assets worth 10 million baht.

All the suspects deny charges of premeditated murder.

Tyga and his 5-year-old son King Cairo sued by Simon Cowell's ex-fiancee

Tyga and his 5-year-old son are being sued over unpaid rent. According to TMZ, they are being sued by Simon Cowell's makeup artist and ex-fiancee, Mezhgan Hussainy.

The report claims that Tyga rented a Beverly Hills house from Hussainy for $40K a month. He moved in March of 2017 and was paying his rent until he stopped.

In the report, Hussainy claims that the rapper stopped paying rent in January 2018. She's hoping to evict Tyga from her property and wants to get all of the rent back. 

The suit against Tyga also lists his five-year-old son King Cairo because he listed him on the lease. In the suit, the child is listed as "other defendants."

'I almost cut a piece of myself for your life - The Weeknd says he nearly gave Selena Gomez his kidney before their break up

Canadian singer, The Weeknd, 28 is still heartbroken following his failed relationship with his ex-Selena Gomez, 25, and has revealed that he nearly donated one of his kidneys to her before their break-up.

He made the claim in his newly released 6-song EP, “My Dear Melancholy” where he clearly spoke about his pop star ex in his new song “Call Out My Name”. 

The Weeknd sings “falling for you was my mistake,” and goes on to say: “I said I didn’t feel nothing, baby, but I lied I almost cut a piece of myself for your life Guess I was just another pit stop ‘Til you made up your mind You just wasted my time.'

Last year, Gomez underwent a kidney transplant due to complications from lupus. Her friend, Francia Raisa, eventually donated the organ to save her life.

A month after Selena and The Weeknd broke up in October, after 10 months of dating she linked up with her first love Justin Bieber.

In The Weeknd's closing track, “Privilege,” he apparently wished Selena the best in life.

Photos: APC youth leader shot dead by suspected armed robbers while attempting to rescue female petrol station attendant in Edo State

Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Wednesday, March 28, shot dead the youth leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako West local government of Edo State, Samson Sedi.

Sedi, popularly known as Power Remain, was allegedly killed by armed robbers while attempting to rescue a female petrol station attendant at  NNPC mega in Jattu, Etsako West Local Government Area, who was being robbed on Wednesday in Jattu.

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed shock at the news of the brutal killing of Mr Sedi.

"I was shocked on receiving the news of Mr. Samson Sedi’s death. My heart goes out to his family. I have ordered the relevant security agencies to arrest the killers and prosecute them without delay,” Obaseki said.

He described the late Sedi as “a grassroots mobiliser, a philanthropist who cared for orphans and a great lover of people, whose death is a huge loss to Edo people and the APC.”

“I learnt he was driving into a road around a petrol station in Jattu and heard a female petrol station attendant shouting for help. The late Sedi, drove into the petrol station to ascertain what was happening, only to be shot by the armed robbers who were operating at the petrol station. Sedi has been with us in our party for a long time and I sympathise with his family,” the governor said.

Sedi who was fondly called ‘Power Remain’ by his friends and supporters, was a rallying point for APC youths in his ward and constituency.

Meanwhile, a Chieftain of the APC from Etsako Central and an House of Representatives hopeful, RTN. Comrade Julius Abuda expressed shock over the "sudden, gruesome and horrible death" of Mr Sedi.

The House of Rep hopeful, in a press released by his Media Aide, Comrade Jerome Eramho expressed his shock over the painful and gruesome death.

"I was so shocked to hear of the unexpected and painful loss of a brother, true friend and a very loyal and committed member of our great party, APC. I am still trying to accept it. He will be missed greatly by all of us who knew  him as a truthful person, bold, dependable, fearless politician, brutally frank, a youth advocate and community leader" he said.

"He was such a lovely, jovial and easy-going person and so active and vibrant, which makes it even harder to believe his death. Power Remain was a man who fearlessly stood out for any cause he believes in anywhere, anytime and will be missed especially  by Etsako youths. He was loved, admired and respected by both old and young."

Describing his death as a painful one, shocking, unbelievable, horrible and terrible, Abuda expressed his confidence in the capacity and sure of the political will of the Edo State Govt led by Mr. Godwin Obaseki and Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu to fish out and prosecute the wicked and heartless killers of Power Remain in no distant time.

According to Abuda, Power Remain was a political tutor and mentor to many. He admired his leadership commitment and guidance, his valuable contributions to the success of the party, APC cannot be overlooked. In his words:

"Power Remain was an asset to our great party, APC. His absence therefore no doubt has created a vacuum that will be hard to fill. His consistency,  doggedness, fearlessness, political sagacity and suavity will be missed. He will be remembered for good".

Lamenting on the endless pain occasioned by the tragic death,  Abuda prayed  that God grant the widow and children  the fortitude to bear the irreparable, painful  and tragic loss. In his words:

"I pray his family finds the love and strength needed to forge ahead in his huge absence. My heart and deepest sympathies go to the widow and children".

"In this time of grief, the family is in my thoughts and prayers. He die as an Hero.  I pray that in this difficult time, the love of God shelters the widow and children and Mend their pain as they move forward. We will surely do our best in bringing hope and succour to the family. May God grant the soul of Power Remain a peaceful and eternal rest IJN, Amen".

Rapper Fabolous punched his Babymama seven times, she lost two front teeth

The domestic violence allegations against rapper Fabolous looks like a serious one, as new disturbing details have been revealed.

According to court documents obtained by NorthJersey, the Brooklyn rapper punched his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante, and babymother of two of his children in the face seven times causing her to lose her two front teeth, and made threats to kill her, her brother and her father.

Englewood Police said in a statement the rapper, whose real name is John Jackson, turned himself in at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on a domestic dispute and making terroristic threat charge. He was released from police custody.

Court documents show the alleged crime stemmed from an earlier incident on March 7, when Jackson while in Los Angeles on a business trip “became enraged” when he found out via Instagram the victim was also in Los Angeles.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, while on a flight back from Los Angeles, the victim told police that Jackson, 40, said via text he wanted to hit her in the head with a baseball bat and that he would kill her but he “did not want to go out like that.” The victim told police she was scared because of the March 7 incident. The victim was later punched by Jackson seven times in the face “causing severe damage to her two front teeth.” She ended up losing her two front teeth, according to court documents.

Reportedly, Emily B aka Emily Bustamente called her father to come remove a pair of handguns from her home. Fab allegedly came home and after he couldn’t find the guns, told Emily, her brother, and father that he had a bullet for them. Thus, the terroristic threat charge.

Looters: PDP dismisses FG's list, challenges APC to name convicted members of PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the list of alleged "looters" published by the Federal Government as hollow and laughable.

The party said the list is an extension of federal government media trial and challenged it to come up names of its members against whom the federal government had secured convictions.

The list put forward by the Federal Government as purported looters amounts to a cheap blackmail as none of those listed have been indicted or convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction or any panel of enquiry in our country.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Friday, said the list issued by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, only goes to show that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency have no prove of corruption against the PDP.

The party said in its frenzy and desperation, the federal government even included names of individuals who are not standing trial or under investigation for any act of corruption, as well as those who are not even PDP members.

The Buhari-led Federal Government has manifested its frenzy by going after matters that are in court and in which none of the persons have been convicted, thus betraying their wickedness and desperation to mislead the public, the court and divert attention from the heavy looting involving their members.

We are not in doubt that the individuals he has mentioned will take their legitimate stride and pursue appropriate action in the court.

However, attacks on individuals, who are members of our party, does not in anyway detract from the fact that the PDP, as a political platform, is not a party of corruption.

It is unfortunate that the APC and its government under whose watch horrendous sleazes are happening on daily basis and a government that has failed to fulfill the littlest of its campaign promises, can spend a wholesome three years searching for flimsy allegations to discredit our party and its members.

This is a government that is yet to account for $26 billion (N9 trillion) stolen through corrupt oil contracts in the NNPC, N1.1 trillion worth of crude diverted to service APC interests, N18 billion Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) intervention fund stolen by APC officials, including their former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, the N10 billion National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for which members of the Buhari cabal were indicted as well as the Mainagate, where the APC government recalled and reinstated an individual indicted for scam running into billions of naira.

This is in addition to cover provided for serving ministers indicted for corrupt enrichment, among whom is a prominent former APC governor from the southsouth, who was indicted by his state for stealing billions of naira to fund President Buhari’s campaign in 2015.

We emphatically say that the PDP is on a rebound and such flimsy allegations by the APC and its horde of looters, who stole humongous wealth from their respective states of the federation to sponsor an incompetent candidate in 2015, cannot stop us from challenging the Federal Government to fulfill its campaign promises.

Since, the APC has decided to draw this attack, we will no longer hold back but appropriately commence a serialization of all looters hiding in APC and the Presidency.

Egyptian president wins second term with over 90 percent votes

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has won a second term with 96.9 percent of valid votes raising a previous tally from the preliminary count. 

The flagship state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram also raised its estimate of turnout in the March 26-28 election to 42.08 percent, saying 25 million of Egypt’s 60 million registered voters had cast ballots.

On Tuesday, the paper had reported that Sisi was re-elected with 92 percent of the vote on a turnout of just over 40 percent.  It gave no explanation for the upward revisions. Sisi, who as army chief ousted Egypt’s first freely elected president Islamist Mohamed Morsi after mass street protests in 2013, won his first term in 2014 with 96.9 percent of the vote.  

The only other candidate on the ballot paper this year, Moussa Mostafa Moussa, won 3.1 percent of the vote, Al-Ahram said. Moussa, a little-known politician who is himself a supporter of the president, registered immediately before the close date for applications, saving the election from being a one-horse race.  

The National Election Authority is scheduled to announce the full official result on Monday.  Moussa conceded defeat on Wednesday evening, saying he had hoped for 10 percent of the vote but knew all along that he was up against the “immense popularity” of the president.  

More heavyweight would-be challengers were all sidelined, detained or pulled out. Opposition groups had called for a boycott of this week’s vote which they labelled a charade.  Even at 42 percent, turnout was down on the 47 percent in the 2014 election despite appeals from Prime Minister Sherif Ismail for voters to fulfil their patriotic duty.

Model and TV personality, Tyra Banks has admittd to getting a nose job early in her career.

She made this reveation in her new memoir "Perfect is Boring". The book, written by the America's Next Top Model host and her mum Carolyn London, revealed a lot about Tyra's personal and professional life and it's set to be released on April 3.

In the memoir, Banks shares details about the early days of her career and the decision she made during that time to get a nose job.

She tells People: "I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching. I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose."

Banks adds, "I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth."

She adds: "Natural beauty is unfair. I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves."

The businesswoman also encourages women to stop judging and do whatever makes them feel best.

She said: "Fix it or flaunt it — I think women should be able to do both. There is a boundary line, either you're super natural or you live at the plastic surgeon. It's okay to hop back and forth over that line. You want a hair weave? Fine. You want permanent eyebrows? Fine. We as women need to stop judging."
