Is this appropriate or not? Black man chases Asian woman in a dark alley because she ran away after seeing him

Is this appropriate or not? Black man chases Asian woman in a dark alley because she ran away after seeing him
A UK based black man is accusing an Asian woman of racism after she sighted and quickly ran away from him in a dark alley.

Here's what happened. The unidentified woman came across him, panicked and started to run away rather than take any chances in the narrow passageway between the buildings.

Unfortunately, he decided to scare her even more by running after her and grunting while at it. His excuse was that she saw him as a beast in the alley and he decided to find out why she was running.

Question is, what if she panicked due to uncertainty? If you find yourself in a dark alley with a stranger and you panic, wouldn't you try to protect yourself by running away? Watch the video below and tell us what you think.

'I have lost confidence in army to protect my people' – Emir of Anka, Zamfara

Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad, the Emir of Anka in Zamfara State says he has lost confidence in security personnel to protect his people and he is therefore seeking the assistance of the United Nations and the African Union.

The first class traditional ruler made this known in his palace when Governor Abdulazeez Yari of the state paid a condolence visit to him on Friday. The emir expressed shock that in less than a week after President Buhari visited the state and charged security agents to brace up and end all forms of insecurity, insurgents still carried out mass killings.

He said he had lost confidence in the ability and commitment of the security personnel because they had failed in the discharge of their obligations to provide security to the lives and property of the law abiding residents in his domain on different occasions.

According to him, the only hope for the state is to seek the assistance of UN or African Union (AU) in fighting the insurgency in the state. He alleged that corruption among the security agencies and judiciary was the factor fuelling the security problems in the state, saying he will make available list of all identified corrupt security personnel and judges to the state as soon as it would be possible.

He stressed the need to secure permanent base for security agencies to protect the areas under constant attacks by the gunmen. Earlier, Yari expressed regret over the incessant attacks, urging the security agencies to intensify their efforts at restoring normalcy in the affected areas.  He therefore urged the security agents to apprehend all persons in possession of weapons henceforth to reduce the attacks.

More than 30 persons were on Thursday buried in Bawan Daji village of Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara, following gunmen attack on the village.  The bandits attacked the area after some members of the community held a meeting to discuss measures to be taken against the bandits during the 2018 farming season.  The bandits had earlier threatened that there would be no farming activities in the area in this year’s rainy season.

'Rapists' are stripped naked and paraded for 'attacking a 17-year-old girl' in India (Photos/Video)

Enraged villagers in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India severely punished two men they accused of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The angry mob paraded the duo naked through the streets of Yingkiong in far northeastern with their hands tied behind their backs as women slapped them.

The 'rapists' were reportedly handed over to local police after they were humiliated in public.

Confirming the alleged rape incident, Police Deputy Inspector General John Neihlaia told Daily Mail: 'It seems the public did such a thing before handing the two to the police.'
According to him, the teenage victim agreed to go out with one of the men after befriending him on social media, but claimed he and three of his friends raped her.
He said the men allegedly dropped her home about 2am and the brave girl went to the police the next morning.
'Meanwhile, the victim's relatives and neighbours caught two of the accused and handed them over to the police,' Inspector General Neihlaia said.
The authorities say Police are still hunting for the other two suspects who they believed are in their 20s.

Use your influence wisely - Presidency appeals to prominent Nigerians

Use your influence wisely - Presidency appeals to prominent Nigerians
The Presidency has appealed to prominent Nigerians, who have national influence, to use their influence wisely and not continue to engage in public declarations that are likely to inflame emotional passions and threaten National Security.

According to a statement by Garba Shehu, the Presidency is very worried that criminal gangs will feel justified in defying legal governing and democratic institutions, and authority of legitimately elected democratic government if unrestrained pronouncements are made.

Silence can be dignified, but sometimes it can be misinterpreted and exploited. It is both shocking and scary to hear the recent comments by a senior citizen calling for Nigerians to defend themselves.

The Presidency commends the Nigerian military’s efforts to maintain peace and stability, despite being pulled in various directions by elements determined to destabilize the country and government for their selfish reasons. What country would survive if its citizens rise against the country’s organized, trained and equipped military?

We advise former leaders to take advantage of the various fora where people with a history of national security can offer advice to the government without resorting to the exploitation of emotional sentiments.

The civil war motto: “TO KEEP NIGERIA ONE IS A TASK THAT MUST BE DONE” rings very timely at this time in our nation’s history. We must be careful to avoid the mess that destroyed other African countries like Somalia.

#BBNaija: 'Cee C is a bitter, proud, nasty, shallow and close-minded woman' - journalist Yetunde Olayemi writes

Big Brother Naija housemate Ceec is no doubt one of the most popular contestants this season.

Her personality interests and intrigues people and now, Nigerian journalist Yetunde Olayemi has said the best thing her fans can do for her is to stop voting for her.

According to her, 'she needs to come home badly. She is screaming for help like crazy but it seems the majority of her thriving fans do not see this need. Seems to me like she has some personality disorder and needs to wake up from whatever castle she has built up in her head. The big brother platform I think couldn’t care less whatever happens to her psyche. She is damaged and needs help fast. It is rather unfortunate that her shortcoming is playing out on national television. Her sister claims that she did not raise a bitter woman but that is exactly what she is'.

She added that, 'Cee C is a bitter, proud, nasty, shallow and close-minded woman. Her way is the only way, her view is this only view. Cee C is borderline NARCISSISTIC. Before you eat me up, you know within your heart that after all is said and done, you will NOT employ someone like Cee C in your outfit neither will you knowingly entrust her with any delicate information as it pertains her profession, LAW. But what do I know…  Remember, this is from a place of love'.

FG releases names of ‘Looters’, PDP chairman Uche Secondus, Olisa Metuh, others included

FG releases names of ?Looters?, PDP chairman Uche Secondus, Olisa Metuh, others included
The Federal Government has released a list of some Nigerians alleged to have stolen from the nation’s treasury. Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, released the list during a press conference in Lagos today Friday, March 30th.

Among the names released on the list are those of PDP chieftains currently facing trial for corruption and financial crimes.
The decision by the APC-led government to reveal the names of the alleged looters and the funds allegedly stolen is in response to the opposition party, PDP’s, challenge to the government to name those alleged to have looted the country and destroyed the economy.
“The PDP has challenged us to name the looters under their watch. They said they did not loot the treasury. Well, I am sure they know that the treasury was looted dry under their watch. Yet they decided to grandstand. This shows the hollowness of their apology,” Mohammed said as he released the names'' he said
Amongst the names of the list include
1.   PDP Chairman Uche Secondus.
Allegation: On the 19th of Feb 2015, he took N200 million only from the office of the NSA.

  1. Former PDP Financial Secretary.
Allegation: On the 24th of Oct 2014, he took N600 million only from the office of former NSA.

  1. Former National Publicity Secretary Olisah Metuh.
On trial for allegedly collecting N1.4bn from the office of former NSA.

  1. Dr Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications.
On trial for allegedly taking N2.1 billion from the office of the former NSA.

  1. Former SSA to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dudafa Waripamo-Owei
On trial, over N830 million allegedly kept in accounts of four different companies.

  1. Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Cousin Robert Azibaola
The Minister said most of the persons on the looters list are currently standing trial in court, an evidence that the crimes were indeed committed.
“They are in court and the records are available. Some of the people on this list are seeking to plea bargain, and that is a fact. We insist that Nigeria was looted blind under the watch of the PDP and that the starting point in tendering an apology is for them to return the loot. We will not stop talking about the massive looting by the PDP. They brought Nigeria to this sorry pass. We are now looking around for loans to build infrastructure, and they ask us not to talk about it. We will talk about it,” he said.

Texas Megachurch pastor indicted for wire fraud and money laundering, accused of stealing millions from congregation

Texas Megachurch pastor indicted for wire fraud and money laundering, accused of stealing millions from congregation?
The head pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church, a 14,000-member megachurch in Houston, Texas, has been indicted for wire fraud and money laundering. He's also accused of stealing millions from his congregation.

Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell, 64, a longtime spiritual adviser to ex-President George W. Bush was on Thursday indicted in federal court on claims that he sold more than $1 million in worthless Chinese bonds to vulnerable and elderly investors, some of whom lost their life savings to the alleged scheme, The Washington Post reports.

Prosecutors said in a news release, that the federal grand jury in Shreveport, La., returned a 13-count indictment accusing the Rev. Kirbyjon H. Caldwell and financial planner Gregory Alan Smith of wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy.
The two men were also sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission in the same federal court on allegations that they violated financial laws.

According to court documents, Caldwell and 55-year-old Gregory raised nearly $3.4 million through a Chinese bond scheme to defraud approximately 29 investors from April 2013 to August 2014.
The two allegedly promised high rates of return sometimes up to 15 times the value.
Prosecutors said Caldwell used his influence as the pastor of the 16,000-member Village United Methodist Church to dupe investors into buying historical Chinese bonds issued decades ago.

Caldwell and Smith, who operates a Shreveport-based financial management firm, allegedly promised investors sky-high returns sometimes 15 times what they invested assuring them all along that they could be later sold for tens of millions of dollars.
In a statement by U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook, he said: “These bonds were issued by the formerRepublic of China prior to losing power to the communist government in 1949. They are not recognized by China’s current government and have no investment value.”

In the court documents from the SEC, it was alleged that Caldwell and Smith lured in 29 investors, most of them vulnerable and elderly, telling some they stood to rake in exorbitant returns in a matter of weeks.

Caldwell and Smith each face up to 20 years in prison on the wire fraud counts and 10 years for the money laundering counts. If found guilty, they also face a $1 million fine, restitution, forfeiture and five years of supervised release.
