A government worker claims she was tied to her office chair and gagged by colleagues as revenge after she reported an alleged culture of bullying in her workplace.

In a shocking image allegedly taken by one of the abusers, DeeAnn Fitzpatrick is seen taped to a chair with her arms pinned by her sides. The photo of her being taped up was obtained by the BBC.  Ms Fitzpatrick claims she was the victim of racist and misogynist bullying while working at a government agency for fisheries in Scotland. 

In evidence to a tribunal, Canadian national Ms Fitzpatrick, 49, claims she was told: "This is what you get when you speak out against the boys."

Actor, Charles Billion and his American wife part ways after welcoming their son

Actor Charles Billion Pius and his American wife, Mimi Rashaad, have parted ways.

Billion got married and impregnated Rashaad while he was still married to actress Mimi Orjiekwe. 

Sources close to the actor have informed LIB that the union between the actor and his American woman have parked up. Mimi Rashaad welcomed their son, Ahmaad, few months ago and afterwards called off their union. She claimed she was not aware that Charles was at the time married to Orjiekwe when she got married to him.

Domestic violence victim permanently scarred by her abuser shares her story and photos

A domestic violence victim has summoned the courage and called the police on her abuser after months of abuse. She has now shared her story and photos of the injury inflicted on her.

The Twitter user said her relationship was a loving one for the most part until her significant other turned abusive months ago.

The man, who she said is well respected in their community, busted her chin and she had to get stitches. Yet she stayed and kept silent about the abuse. She even went as far as covering up for the man by lying to her family that the injury was an accident.

Two dead, 18 injured after train smashes into truck stopped on tracks in Italy

Two people have died and 18 others injured after a train ploughed into a truck that stopped on tracks near Turin, Italy.

The train hit the stationary truck and derailed, flinging passengers across the carriages last night.

According to local reports, the train engineer was killed instantly and at least 18 others were injured, two critically. The two were flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital but one of them later died. One of the injured was reported to be a crew member, while the rest were passengers.

27-year-old woman faked her own kidnap and demanded ransom from her mother

Police in Kawempe, Uganda have arrested a 27-year-old  lady who faked her own kidnap and demanded a ransom from her mother.

Najjim Gonza, who had been a food vendor at Mbiiko, in Jinja District, says she wanted to use the ransom money as capital to start a new business.

According to police, the suspect left Mbikko and went to live with her boyfriend, one Festo Kigomba, an employee of Maganjo Grain Millers in Maganjo, near Kawempe.

Days later, she pretended to be a kidnapper and demanded money from her mother.

Football legend, Ronaldinho has reportedly proposed to his two girlfriends and will marry them at the same time.

The 38-year-old Brazilian whose full name is Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, will wed his two partners in a private ceremony in his mansion, Brazilian media reports.

It was also alleged that Ronaldinho who's living with 'fiancees' Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza at his £5million Rio de Janeiro mansion, is planning on getting married to them in August.

Prince Harry and ex Chelsy Davy "had tearful final phone call before royal wedding"

Prince Harry had a tearful phone call with one of his ex-girlfriends just days before his wedding, it has been claimed.

Before his wedding to Meghan Markle, Harry is said to have spoken to Chelsy Davy, who he dated on and off for seven years. They had to break up because Chelsy was always uncomfortable with the spotlight that dating Harry placed on her.

During the final conversation, they both "acknowledged Harry was moving on". According to Vanity Fair, the phone call between Harry and Chelsy took place in the run-up to the lavish wedding.

'Amnesty International plans to release malicious report on fictitious rape incidents in IDP camps' - Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Military said it has received credible intelligence report of a plan by Amnesty International (AI) to release a ''false report'' on fictitious rape incidents in IDP camps in the North East region of Nigeria. 

A statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Acting Director Defence Information, Bigadier General John Agim, said the "malicious trend by AI is becoming a frequent ritual and it is rather unfortunate"

Police rescue child kidnapped by housemaid four days after she was employed

Police in Uganda on Wednesday, rescued baby Chelsea, who was kidnapped by a house maid,  Esther Mulekateete.

The suspect, Mulekateete had worked for the child's father Mr Arthur Tazenya for only four days.

Police managed to track the house girl even as she had switched off her known mobile phone. The search conducted found both the victim and suspect in Kachanga Island, Kalangala District .

Police in Mukono has since arrested the suspect and rescued the baby.

Yesterday, a shocking video showing a police officer attacking a young lady who refused to allow him search her bag filled with her panties surfaced online. The police officers had stopped a commercial bus the lady was in and insisted they must search every bag in the bus.

The young lady refused to allow them search one of her bags because it contained her panties. The officer was seen attacking the lady while raining abusive words on her. 

Breaking: Bauchi deputy governor, Nuhu Gidado, resigns

The Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Nuhu Gidado, has resigned. In a letter sent to the state governor, Muhammed Abubakar, Mr Gidado explained that his decision was based on his commitment to serve for only a single term as deputy governor of the state.

“Ordinarily, I should have remained up to the end of the tenure, but, with the currently dampened spirit and waning zeal as it relates to my official engagements, my continued stay will not be fair and truthful to you as my brother and leader,” he wrote.

He reminded the governor that during their meeting on April 19th, he had informed him that he was thinking about stepping aside.

He thanked the governor and the people of the state for the opportunity to serve as deputy governor of the state.

Kidnapper caught after she stole a baby at Mile 12 market Lagos Nigeria

A kidnapper has been arrested as she attempted to escape after stealing a baby in Mile 12 market.

2-year-old Miss Ramudantu Matimu was with her mum at the Yam market in Mile 12, Ketu, Lagos, on May 22, 2018, when Elizabeth Ibezim took her while her mother wasn't looking.

The mother of the child, who is a trader, was busy selling her wares and had no idea her child had been taken. By the time she noticed, she became frantic and a search party was immediately organized to help her find the child.

A 73-year-old man allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl multiple times until she got pregnant in Ikorodu, Lagos state.

Pa Fola Olowoigbo, of No.2 Fela Ahmed street, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos, is accused of having sexual relations with an unnamed teenager until she became pregnant. The suspect who hailed from Ago- Iwoye, Ogun state is a local taxi driver and next door neighbour to the victim's mother. 

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, it was revealed that the suspect was in the habit of sending his teenage victim on errands and the child's mother was unaware that he had an ulterior motive.

77-year-old American woman conned out of $285,000 by online lover in Malaysia; two Nigerian men arrested

An elderly American woman recently went to Malaysia expecting to meet with a dashing construction tycoon she met online, only to discover that her internet romance was part of an elaborate scam.

The 77-year-old unnamed victim, who travelled all the way from the U.S, said she met a man on social media who would regularly send her sweet messages via email. Little did she know that she was being played by con artists who wanted to extort money from her.

According to AsiaOne, her online suitor, who had claimed to be an entrepreneur, allegedly told her that he could double her money if she invested in his businesses.

Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma said this after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday saying reports credited to him as saying that the President will not sign the budget were false as he was even yet to receive the budget.

FG displays gun, ammunition and other Items recovered from Sambo Dasuki’s Abuja residence In court (photos)

On Tuesday, the Federal Government displayed rifles, ammunition, and other items recovered from the Abuja residence of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, at the Federal High Court Abuja.  

The items were displayed by Williams Obiora, an operative of the Department of State Security Services, (DSS), the prosecuting agency. Led in evidence by the prosecuting counsel, Oladipo Okpeseyi, (SAN), Obiora told the court that local and foreign currencies were also recovered from the house and had been deposited at the Central Bank of Nigeria.  

The money recovered, according to the witness was 40,000 dollars, N5 million and 20,000 dollars found in a vault and a Range Rover vehicle. The DSS operative told the court that they were recovered during a search which was carried out on the house following intelligence report that Dasuki was in possession of weapons injurious to national security.

Sad! Eight year-old boy dies after falling into a well in Kano State

Sadi Yusuf, an eight year-old boy in Tamburawa Gabas town of Kano State on Tuesday died after falling into a well.  

The spokesman of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria that the incident occurred at about 7.30 am. He said the deceased was sent by his mother to go and fetch water in the well.

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, has reacted to the allegation made by Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, that the Federal government is planning to assassinate him. Governor Wike at a thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt last Sunday May 20th said

“Intelligence report available to us as at this morning indicate that they are plotting to assassinate me in a crowd and claim it was accidental discharge. The level of conspiracy against Rivers State is unfortunate. Instead of focusing on governance, they focus on how to assassinate me or frame me up. I am not afraid because nobody can kill me. What is in me is greater than them”.

41 people abducted by unknown gunmen in Birnin Gwari

No fewer than 41 people have been abducted in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state in two separate attacks. According to reports, the abductions took place in the last 24 hours. 

Confirming the abductions, the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Danladi Idon Duniya, said a Sharon bus and a Golf 3 saloon that were travelling along the Birnin Gwari road were stopped by armed bandits and the 17 passengers were kidnapped.

In a related development, 24 people, mostly traders, who travelling in a commercial bus, were abducted near Labi village along the same route yesterday May 23rd. The victims were on their way to Kano to buy goods.

The NURTW chairman said reports reaching his office, claims that the kidnappers have taken all the 24 abductees into the bush, after forcing them to remove their clothes, while the women among them were forced to remove their veils.

The state police command is yet to react to this development.

Robert De Niro says Donald Trump is banned from Nobu restaurants worldwide

Actor and co-owner of the Nobu restaurant empire,  Robert DeNiro, who is a frequent critic of President Trump, says he has banned him from all of his Nobu restaurants all over the world including one in Washington, D.C.

The 74-year-old legendary actor revealed this to MailOnline while discussing life as a superstar, restaurateur and hotelier with fellow founders Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper during the launching of the new Nobu Marbella Resort last week.

When asked who his dream dinner guest would be, Robert insisted he would never let Trump into any of the Nobu restaurants.

According to him: 'I don't care what he likes. If he walked into a restaurant I was in - I'd walk out.'
