Joe has been sent packing from the Big Brother Naija house after being put up for eviction via Diane's use of her veto power. 

Members of the Icons team which include Cindy, Elozonam, Enkay, Frodd, Ike, Sir Dee, Khafi, Omashola and Tacha were put up for possible eviction last week after they lost a nomination task. Joe got added to the team after Diane used her veto power to save Sir Dee.

Happy Sunday, my people. I must say a big thank you for the outpour of love and solidarity in the face of the unprovoked attack on my person by members of the IPOB in Germany yesterday.

Meanwhile, I read IPOB statement claiming that they attacked me for instigating Operation Python Dance in the South EAST. Ironically, I engaged the presidency and concerned security agencies to try to prevent it.

$12m fraud: Court appoints attorney to defend Obinwanne Okeke as he fails to show up with a lawyer

Obinwanne Okeke, the CEO of Invictus Group got an attorney with the United States Federal Public Defender in Eastern District of Virginia to defend him after he failed to show up in court with a laywer for the commencement of his trial on two counts of conspiracy to commit computer fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Recall LIB reported that the Forbes-rated young Nigerian 'billionaire' was arrested on August 6 in Alexandria, Virginia. His arrest came after FBI's painstaking investigation upon receiving a petition from Unatrac over an unauthorized access by an "unidentified" individual who sent out an email with a fake invoice to the purchase department, defrauding the company of $12m. 

Kenyan chef breaks Guinness World Record for cooking for longest hours

Maliha Mohammed, a Kenyan Chef based in Mombasa is now the Guinness World Record holder for cooking for the longest hours.

The 36-year-old Chef cooked for 75 straight hours at the Kenya Bay Beach Resort, preparing 400 local and international cuisines. The previous Guinness World Record holder for the category was Rickey Lumpkin, a US-based chef who in 2018 cooked for 68 hours, 30 minutes and 1 second.

Ifu Ennada slams celebrities who wear fake designers

Ifu Ennada took a major swipe at her colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry who according to her wear fake designer clothes and shoes. 

Alleging that these celebrities are embarassing themselves by not respecting the original designer, the reality show star advised them to wear nameless brands instead. Ifu Ennada further said that the league these entertainers are trying to impress know they are wearing fake designers, even though they wave it off with a smile.

Nnamdi Kanu has finally reacted to the attack on former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu in Germany by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)

Recall LIB reported that the Senator representing Enugu West District was invited as a Guest of Honour to the second Annual Igbo Cultural Festival which was held in Nuremberg, and he was physically attacked by IPOB members. 

Reacting to incident, Nnamdi Kanu described it as courageous act which will serve as a polite warning to those engaged in selling the collective interest of the "Igbos" to the Fulani caliphate. 

He tweeted; 

UK, DSS petitioned to probe Buhari’s Cambridge documents

The London Metropolitan Police Service and the Department of State Services have been petitioned by a Nigerian lawyer Kalu Kalu Agu, to probe the Cambridge University certificate which President Muhammadu Buhari presented at the presidential election petition tribunal.

Abba Kyari, Buhari's chief of staff had claimed that he personally signed for and collected the documents on behalf of the President from Cambridge University in his testimony at the tribunal. The conduct of final year secondary school examination in Nigeria and placement into foreign universities in the 1960s was managed by the UK-based examination body.

However in the two separate petitions dated August 14 which TheCable obtained, Kalu Kalu Agu asked for a probe into the authenticity of the ‘certifying statement’ reportedly obtained from the Cambridge Assessment International Education and an investigation into the circumstances leading to the procurement.

Ekweremadu doesn’t deserve this disgrace from IPOB miscreants, he negotiated Nnamdi Kanu's release - Nwodo

The President-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nwodo has condemned the attack launched by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Ike Ekweremadu during the second annual Igbo Cultural Festival held in Nuremberg, Germany.

Commenting on the attack, Nwodo stated that it strengthens the case of those who describe them as terrorists and weaken the case against the infringement of their fundamental human rights.

He also revealed that the attacked former Deputy Senate President who was expected to deliver a keynote address at the event in Germany, negotiated the sureties and securities for Nnamdi Kanu’s release on bail. 

“The assault on Ekweremadu by Igbos in Germany, described as IPOB, is disappointing, grotesque and dangerous for Igbo solidarity,” he said.

“This violent, rude, impertinent, divisive and discourteous style of IPOB or IPOB instigated miscreants is damaging to our cause. It strengthens the case of those who describe them as terrorists and weaken our case against the infringement of our fundamental human rights.

“Ekweremadu negotiated the sureties and securities for Nnamdi Kanu’s release on bail. He does not deserve this picketing and disgrace. A disgrace to him is a disgrace to Igbo race.

“Whilst I condemn the attack on our revered son and leader, I call on the law enforcement agencies in Germany to bring to book the perpetrators of this despicable act. It is un-Igbo. It is disgraceful.”

I was attacked by IPOB in Germany - Senator Ike Ekweremadu confirms, reveals why

Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has confirmed that he was attacked by some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurnberg, Germany. 

The Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial district at the red chamber revealed that shortly after he arrived the venue and was given a resounding welcome by organizers of the event in Germany, some IPOB members stormed the venue complaining about the killings in the South East and also insisted that there would be no Igbo event at the venue.

Ike Ekweremadu said he had to leave the venue of the event after the IPOB members became unruly when he tried to engage them. He however added that he was disappointed in their conduct as he has always spoken against the extra-judicial killings in Igbo land and elsewhere both on the floor of the Senate and in written and personal engagements with the Presidency. The lawmaker also disclosed that he rallied the South East Senate Caucus to secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe taking him on bail to douse tension in the South East. 

The statement he released reads in full; 

IPOB members vow to attack South East governors who visit abroad for any reason.

Members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB,  have stated that they have a standing order to attack the governors of Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia and Enugu as well as other prominent indigenes of the South East attending functions abroad.

This comes hours after former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu was attacked at the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo in Nurnberg, Germany, yesterday Saturday August 17th.

Ed Smart, the father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, who was abducted in 2002 has announced he is gay, divorcing his wife, and is also leaving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Smart, 64, of Salt Lake City said in a letter shared on his Facebook page that he no longer feels comfortable being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which opposes gay marriage and same-sex relationships but preaches love and compassion for LGBTQ people.

Nigerian Model narrates how she escaped being a victim of a fake agency on Instagram

A Nigerian model has raised an alarm after narrowly escaping a trap which was tied to an offer from a fake agency on Instagram. 

According to the model, the initial location she was given for the new product advert was in Festac but they moved it to Egbeda area of Lagos. After she got to the new location and was taken to a mini hotel and bar, she started calling her friends which the fake agency's representative frowned at. She was however let off by the agency after they felt their cover was blown.
