Egusi soup is eaten with fufu, pounded yam, etc. These seeds are high in fat and protein, and they are an important part of West Africa cuisine. I have decided to cook my egusi soup just the way I like it. The recipe below will show you how I make my Egusi Soup.

3 cups of egusi (melon seeds)
1 cup of sesame seeds
1 cup palm oil
2 spoons fresh Iru
Salt
6 cubes of Maggi
Ground crayfish/ fish powder
Oven-Dried Meat, snail, and fish
fresh pumpkin leaves
fresh hot chili peppers
